2008 U.S. Pro Doubles Championships

Think Crystal. Think Trophy. Think Squash Doubles. This should evoke thoughts of your 15 th wedding anniversary, or… the 15th Anniversary of the US Professional Squash Doubles Championship. True, here we are at this milestone so quickly it was just like yesterday that we began this tremendous event.  You may or may not have similar thoughts as to your wedding, but rest assured this years Tour Stop will be something to celebrate. The top 32 squash doubles players in the world will again be at Wilmington Country Club to compete for the Crystal Trophy and the second highest purse on the ISDA tour.

For this historical 15th edition of the US Pro Doubles, we will have a very deep competitive draw. Teams such as Victor Berg/Damien Mudge, Ben Gould/Paul Price, Chris Walker/Clive Leach, and Preston Quick/John Russell will be here along with many other exceptionally talented professionals. Our event has always had tremendous matches in all the rounds as this tournament has a real bearing on the ranking points that start up in early January.  The larger the purse the more value on the ranking points.

With the purse at $25,000, we will maintain a 16 team draw.  That means there are 12 teams straight into the tournament with 4 qualifiers rounding out the draw. What makes this so exciting is that it gives us an extra day of great squash doubles. Therefore, we will have 8 matches Thursday night and 8 matches Friday night. Along with the additional matches, there will be food and beverages each evening which means more bang for your buck! The Semi-Finals will be Saturday at 11:30 AM and the Finals will be Saturday at 5:30 PM.
